Checking out work progress on restoration and asphalting project of Al-Kahraba Street in Old Sana’a District


The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Abbad, and the First Undersecretary of the Capital Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, inspected the progress of work on the project to restore and asphalt the Electricity Street in the Old Sanaa District, at a cost of 68 million riyals, funded by the local council.

Abbad and Al-Madani, along with the Director of the Directorate, Mahdi Arhab, were briefed on the work of removing dilapidated layers and leveling and compacting the street, starting from the Bab Shaoub intersection to Al-Saila-Shouaub Bridge, under the supervision of the Works and Projects Sector in the secretariat.

They listened to an explanation from the engineers about the project work, which includes the restoration and asphalting of Al-Kahraba Street with Bab Shaoub intersection, as well as the restoration of damaged areas and targeted potholes.

The Mayor of the Capital confirmed that the project comes within a series of service projects implemented by the Municipality in various fields, especially the re
habilitation , restoration of main and secondary streets.

He stressed the implementing agency to increase the pace of work and complete the project in accordance with the technical and engineering specifications and the specified period, in order to facilitate traffic movement and alleviate citizens’ suffering.
