The Minister of Health Firas Hawari on Tuesday evening urged expanding health services, focusing on primary health care services, and boosting training and education, namely on emergency skills.
During the closing session of the 6th Conference of the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), Hawari underlined the key strategies to improve the quality of health services locally and globally based on lessons learned following the COVID-19 breakout. It is important, he noted, to activate the role of institutions, such as the Council, to ensure the implementation of quality improvement programs.
The session, held via teleconferencing technology, tackled several topics, including strategies and plans to improve the quality of post-pandemic health services, addressing the burden that health workers shoulder using World Health Organization guidelines, and means to improve decision-makers’ access to data.
The two-day conference brought together speakers, healthcare professionals and decision-makers from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Egypt, India, America, Ireland, Australia, Romania, Canada and Argentina.
The Health Care Accreditation Council is a non-profit organization that is committed to upgrading health care services in Jordan and the region by working side-by-side with government and private entities.
