Jeddah: The 48th edition of the Grand Hajj Symposium will start tomorrow in Makkah. The theme for this year is "Upholding Sharia Permissions and Observing Officially Sanctioned Protocols." The event is under the patronage of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. It will be attended by over 500 scholars and thinkers from across the Islamic world. The symposium will highlight the cultural and civilizational role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Hajj and pilgrims. It will shed light on the most important achievements, projects, and rapid developments in the Two Holy Mosques to serve Muslims. The symposium aims to establish the principle of intellectual dialogue on the issues of the Islamic nation during the Hajj season, promote scientific communication with institutions and researchers worldwide, and build greater integration and brotherhood among the Islamic nation.
