Riyadh, In celebration of the third annual Gulf Youth Day, held June 6th under the slogan "Active and Responsible Gulf Youth," Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi emphasized the leaders’ commitment to empowering the youth of the GCC states. The GCC chief highlighted their focus on nurturing talent, developing skills, and providing opportunities for young people to become the leaders of the future, the GCC said in a statement. Albudaiwi acknowledged young people’s awareness of their responsibility towards their homelands and their eagerness to contribute to the development process. He expressed confidence in their ability to face challenges and drive progress, due to their competence and the resources provided by the GCC states. The secretary-general also expressed his gratitude to the ministers of youth and sports for their dedication to implementing the leaders’ directives and supporting youth initiatives.
