Health Minister, Firas Hawari, said that events and gatherings are not the reason for the high rate in the epidemic curve, since all attendants of such events have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

In an interview with Jordan Television’s “60 Minutes” program, Hawari noted that 35 percent of the total daily infections belongs to the age group of 10 and 17 years.

He revealed that the ministry has developed alternative plans to deal with the epidemiological situation, and has several plans to deal with any development of the epidemiological situation even in the event of a worst-case scenario, which may reach 2,500 infections.

Hawari stressed that the scenario of lack of oxygen is no longer possible, as daily detection is carried out every 3 hours and weekly in this regard.

He called on everyone over the age of 60 to take the booster dose.
