Amman: The Cybercrime Unit has issued a warning to social media users regarding the dissemination of content related to banned or unlicensed associations, specifically highlighting the so-called Muslim Brotherhood, which has been dissolved by conclusive judicial rulings and decisions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the unit emphasized in a statement released on Wednesday that there will be strict enforcement of the law, with legal action to be taken against those who violate the regulations. This enforcement is grounded in the provisions of the Cybercrime Law and the Jordanian Penal Code.
The unit urged social media users to comply fully with the laws and to avoid actions such as publishing, promoting, republishing, sharing, or commenting on prohibited content. Violators will face legal consequences under the terms of the Cybercrime Law and the Jordanian Penal Code.
