COVID kills 12 in Jordan, positive tests at 8.2 percent

COVID-19 killed 12 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 11,291and some of 3,317 cases were recorded, pushing the caseload to 902,000, according to the health ministry.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a press statement Wednesday that 8.2 percent of the 40,400 tests conducted today came back positive.

It highlighted 81 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 118 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in hospitals hit 767.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 33,500, it added.

Some 857,200 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
