A campaign will kick off countrywide Monday to vaccinate teachers against Covid-19, within the framework of the national drive for this purpose, which was launched on May 4th by the Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM).
The effort comes under preparations to ensure safe return to schools for the academic year Next 2022/2021, said the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Najwa Qubeilat.
With programs scheduled to be announced on their websites, the education directorates have completed the necessary preparations to start the vaccination campaign for teachers, which will take place in the two, or three schools designated in the central and northern governorates, Ministry of Health centers approved for vaccination in the southern governorates, Qubeilat told “Petra” on Sunday.
Announcing the daily target, Qubeilat said the Ministry aims to vaccinate 15,000 teachers, who have registered on the gov’t platform.
The immunization campaign for private sector teachers in the Kingdom will start next Wednesday at Kingston International Schools in the capital, Amman and Dar Al Uloom Private School in northern Irbid city, she pointed out.
