Plateau state: At least 38 workers were killed Wednesday in a gas explosion at a lead mine in Plateau State, central Nigeria.
According to Jordan News Agency, local official Ali Adam Idris reported that 38 fatalities occurred, and approximately 27 others were transported to nearby hospitals. A miner at the site stated that the explosion took place between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. local time, confirming the death toll.
