Arab League is due to organize a celebration on Sept. 7 at its headquarters in Cairo on Arab Health Day which is observed on Sept. 4 each year to mark the anniversary of the founding the Council of Arab Ministers for Health.
In a statement on Tuesday, Arab League said the celebration of the Arab Health Day this year comes under the slogan of climate change impact on health- in implementation of the Council of Arab Ministers for Health’s decision No. 11 issued by the 58th ordinary session held in Algeria last March.
It pointed out that Arab doctors who won the Arab Doctor Award 2023 will be honored during the ceremony.
The celebration comes in implementation of the council’s decision No. 5 issued by the 51st ordinary session held in 2019 to develop the Arab health sector through highlighting the achievements made in the member Arab countries in a variety of health fields, along with the efforts made by the Arab health institutions, including the local and international Arab health competencies in undergirding and upgrading health care services, demonstrating and supporting the outstanding health initiatives to offer best health services for Arab people.
