Amended Notary Public Law Enters Into Force, Expanding Access Nationwide

Amman: Starting Sunday, citizens can visit any notary public office nationwide to complete their transactions after the amended Notary Public Law of 2025 entered into force, Minister of Justice Dr. Bassam Talhouni announced. The new legislation aims to facilitate procedures for citizens by allowing them to access notary services beyond their place of residence.

According to Jordan News Agency, the law was published in the Official Gazette and marks a significant change in how notary services are accessed by the public. Previously, transactions were restricted to the notary public located within a citizen's place of residence. The amendment is part of a broader initiative to streamline government procedures and improve service quality.

In a statement, Dr. Talhouni emphasized that this change aligns with Royal directives to enhance performance in judicial facilities. The Ministry of Justice is focused on developing the judicial services system to meet modern administrative requirements, aiming for greater efficiency and a positive impact on service levels across the Kingdom.
