Arab League Condemns Iranian Attacks on Facilities in Kuwait

Dead sea: The Arab League on Sunday condemned Iranian attacks targeting power generation and water desalination plants in Kuwait, causing significant material damage.

According to Jordan News Agency, the pan-Arab organisation denounced strikes on the government ministries complex, the oil sector complex in the Shuwaikh area, and facilities of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company and the Petrochemical Industries Company.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stated that the targeting of Kuwait's water desalination and power plants represents a dangerous escalation and an unjustifiable aggressive approach toward Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Aboul Gheit emphasized that the attacks are a violation of international humanitarian law and held Iran fully responsible. He affirmed that the League stands in solidarity with Kuwait.
