An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Wednesday the US State of Alaska.
The epicenter of the earthquake occurred 37 km from Sand Point city, at a depth of 49.7 km, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage caused by the earthquake so far.
Alaska is located above the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area where tectonic plates meet, and the friction of which leads to strong seismic and volcanic activity.
