Taybeh Youth Center Concludes Green Volunteer Program with Youth Engagement

Taybeh: The Taybeh Youth Center on Monday concluded the Green Volunteer Program, implemented by the Ministry of Youth in cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), with the participation of 20 center members aged 12 to 15.

According to Jordan News Agency, the program aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand environmental issues, including climate change, global warming, and their impact on individuals and society. It also sought to promote a culture of preserving natural resources and adopting positive, sustainable environmental practices, including rationalizing water and energy consumption and using alternative energy sources.

Delivered by trainer Maisar Khalayfeh, the program featured a series of interactive activities designed to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices. Participants also carried out cleanup activities at Khawla Bint Al-Azwar School and Taybeh Park.

Participants said the workshops and practical activities were beneficial, helped strengthen their sense of initiative and teamwork, and encouraged them to adopt sustainable environmental practices in their daily lives.
