Amman:The Austrian Embassy in Amman has lowered its flags to half-mast to show mourning and solidarity with Jordan, its leadership, and its people after a terrorist attack targeted a church in the Hamoud area of Karak Governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Embassy released a statement on Saturday announcing that Austria's Ambassador to Jordan, Marieke Zimburg, decided to postpone the reception planned for Monday to celebrate Austria's National Day. This decision was made in light of the national mourning declared across the Kingdom.
Austria reiterated its support for Jordan, its leadership, and its citizens during this challenging time. The Embassy extended its deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack and wished a full and speedy recovery for the injured. The Embassy also expressed sympathy to all those affected by the tragedy.
