Transport Ministry Reviews Economic Modernization Vision 2nd Executive Program Projects

Amman: Ministry of Transport Secretary General Fares Abu Dayyeh led a meeting to review transport projects listed under the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026-2029) and regional development plans. The meeting at the ministry's headquarters brought together heads of affiliated authorities and corporations, the Prime Ministry's Government Performance and Achievement Follow-up Unit, and representatives from the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).

According to Jordan News Agency, discussions concentrated on progress across priority projects in land, maritime, air, and passenger transport, as well as infrastructure development and logistics services. Participants evaluated project timelines and implementation mechanisms to ensure they align with targets set by the Economic Modernization Vision.

Officials highlighted the necessity of inter-agency coordination and continuous monitoring to enhance the transport network and support regional development initiatives, especially following recent cabinet visits to governorate councils. The meeting included significant figures such as Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, Director General of the Jordan Hejaz Railway Corporation Zahi Khalil, Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) Riyad Al-Kharabsheh, and Acting Director General of the Jordan Maritime Commission Mohammad Al-Ashal, along with other relevant stakeholders.
