JCD Seizes Smuggled Goods, Narcotics

Amman: The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) announced the seizure of significant quantities of smuggled goods, including 4,000 liters of alcoholic beverages concealed within a specially modified water tanker.

According to Jordan News Agency, the JCD's statement on Sunday detailed the confiscation of around 60,000 liters of diesel, 4,000 cartons of cigarettes, 21 tons of shredded tobacco, 31,000 counterfeit clothing items, and other smuggled goods. Additionally, in a separate operation, the Airport Clearance Customs Center, in collaboration with security and regulatory authorities, seized 16 kilograms of marijuana and 250 liters of liquid narcotic substances.

The department emphasized its commitment to intensifying efforts to safeguard the national economy and curb all forms of smuggling. It also encouraged citizens to report any information related to smuggling activities through the toll-free number 105.
