Amman: The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) and MS Pharma signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday aimed at cooperation in training and employment, supporting the development of specialized skills in the pharmaceutical industry to align vocational training outcomes with labor market needs.

According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed in the presence of VTC Director General Raafat Sawafin and Samer Jalal, Executive Vice President for People, Culture, and Communications at MS Pharma, a multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Amman. This partnership seeks to develop and accredit specialized training programs in the pharmaceutical sector. It includes overseeing the preparation of educational materials and setting technical specifications for training equipment to meet the needs of both local and international markets, as stated in a VTC press release.

The spheres of cooperation between the two entities also encompass practical and field training programs at the company's sites, training courses according to sector requirements, attracting target groups, and exchanging expertise to enhance the efficiency of training staff. The agreement aims to support the employment of graduates from these training programs within the pharmaceutical industry and promote dual training, which integrates theoretical education with practical application in a real work environment. This initiative is expected to prepare qualified staff capable of meeting the demands of the labor market.

The signing of the memo represents a significant advancement in cooperation with the pharmaceutical sector, reflecting VTC's commitment to building genuine strategic partnerships that translate into practical training and employment programs, commented Sawafins. Jalal also highlighted that the partnership is a strategic move towards investing in human capital, demonstrating the institution's dedication to developing national competencies in line with the growing pharmaceutical sector's needs.
