Tripoli: Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Emad Al-Trabelsi, met on Tuesday with the Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, to discuss avenues of joint security cooperation between the two countries.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed aspects of bilateral security cooperation, particularly in the areas of training and capacity building, combating irregular migration, and coastal security. The discussions also involved reviewing a number of issues and matters of mutual interest.
The two sides explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance prospects for security coordination in a manner that supports shared interests and serves both countries.
