ITA Airways and Lufthansa Delegation Explores Direct Flights at Mitiga Airport

Tripoli: A delegation from the Italian airline ITA Airways and Germany's Lufthansa visited Mitiga International Airport on Monday to discuss arrangements for operating direct flights between Libya, Italy, and Germany and to strengthen cooperation in the aviation sector. According to Libyan News Agency, the delegation was received by the airport's Director General, Lotfi Nashnoush. They toured the airport facilities, reviewed its operational capabilities and the services provided to passengers, and held meetings with airport administration. The discussions focused on technical and operational aspects, as well as safety and security requirements, ensuring the airport's readiness to receive and operate flights in line with the highest international standards. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with international airlines and support Mitiga International Airport's plan to expand its network of destinations. The initiative aims to facilitate passenger travel and enhance air connecti vity between Libya and Europe.
