Amman: The Jordanian-Kazakh Brotherhood Committee at the Senate and its Kazakh Senate counterpart convened virtually on Monday to discuss strategies for enhancing parliamentary cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties between Jordan and Kazakhstan.
According to Jordan News Agency, Senator Mahmoud Freihat, Chairman of the Jordanian committee, underscored the robust relationship between the two nations, highlighting their shared perspectives on regional and international matters, especially in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He emphasized the need for more coordinated efforts between the committees to translate discussions into tangible collaboration across sectors such as parliamentary affairs, investment, trade, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, energy, transport, and tourism.
Members of the Kazakh committee acknowledged Jordan’s contributions to regional security and stability, advocating for expanded cooperation in areas including agriculture, energy, digital transformation, technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and legislative exchange.
Both committees agreed on the necessity of ongoing consultation and regular meetings as a means to further bilateral relations and foster a broader strategic partnership.
