Amman: Cold weather conditions are set to prevail across most areas of Jordan until Monday, with the possibility of light rain showers in some parts of the northern and central regions on Friday. The weather will remain foggy, cold, and partly overcast to occasionally cloudy. The southwest will see sporadic mild to moderate rains, although the likelihood of precipitation will gradually decline throughout the night. Winds will be moderate, ranging from westerly to northwesterly, with occasional bursts of vigor. According to Jordan News Agency, the Meteorological Department has issued warnings regarding potential flash floods and rising water levels in low-lying areas and valleys, particularly in certain southwestern regions during the morning. People are also advised to be cautious of slick conditions and reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and low-lying clouds over mountainous areas and portions of the plains. The forecast for Saturday predicts a slight increase in temperature. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba are expected to experience pleasant weather, while cold temperatures will persist in most other areas. Winds will be moderate and northwesterly. On Sunday and Monday, milder temperatures are anticipated in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, although cold weather will continue in the majority of regions. Moderate easterly winds will prevail, with a few clouds visible at different heights. For specific regions, East Amman is expected to see maximum and minimum temperatures of 13 to 9 degrees Celsius today, West Amman between 11 and 7, the northern highlands between 9 and 6, the Shara highlands between 8 and 5, desert regions between 15 and 6, the plains between 13 and 9, the northern Jordan Valley between 20 and 13, the southern Jordan Valley between 22 and 15, the Dead Sea between 21 and 14, and the Gulf of Aqaba between 22 and 13.
