MPs Finalize Leadership for Standing Parliamentary Committees

Amman: Members of the House of Representatives have reached an agreement on the selection of the heads, deputies, and rapporteurs for the standing parliamentary committees for the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Legal Committee will be led by Aref Sa’aydeh Abadi as chair, with Mohammad Bani Melhem as his deputy, and Abdul-Halim Ananbeh as the rapporteur. The Finance Committee is to be headed by Nimer Sleihat Abadi, with Suleiman Kharabsheh as his deputy and Mohammad Bustangi as the rapporteur.

The Economy and Investment Committee will see Khaled Abu Hassan as its chair and Abdul-Basit Kabariti as his deputy, while Mohammad Kataw will serve as the rapporteur. The Foreign Affairs Committee is to be chaired by Haitham Ziyadin, with Ali Ghazawi as his deputy, and Tamara Nasser Al-Din as the rapporteur.

Khalifa Diyat will lead the Administrative Committee, with Atallah Huneiti as his deputy and Naseem Abdai as the rapporteur. The Education Committee will be chaired by Ibrahim Qaraleh, with Issa Karadsheh as deputy and Rania Khleifat as the rapporteur.

The Youth, Sports, and Culture Committee is to be chaired by Mohammad Maharmeh, with Abdul Raouf Rbeihat as his deputy. The National Guidance and Media Committee will have Hussein Amoush as the chair and Mohammad Sabaileh as his deputy.

Ahmad Sarhaneh will chair the Health and Food Committee, with Hakam Maadat as deputy and Hayel Ayash as the rapporteur. The Agriculture and Water Committee will be led by Ahmad Shdeifat, with Iyad Jabreen as deputy and Mohammad Marayat as the rapporteur.

The Environment and Climate Committee is chaired by Jihad Abawi, with Ahmad Asha as his deputy and Hamza Hawamdeh as the rapporteur. Andre Hawari will lead the Labour, Social Development and Population Committee, with Arwa Zboun Hajaya as deputy and Samer Azaideh as the rapporteur.

Ayman Abu Hanieh is set to chair the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee, with Islam Azazmeh as his deputy. The Public Services and Transport Committee will be headed by Ayman Badadweh, with Tariq Abdul-Mahdi Bani Hani as deputy and Tayseer Abu Arabi as the rapporteur.

Salem Omari will chair the Tourism and Antiquities Committee, with Yousef Rawadieh as his deputy and Najmeh Hawawsha as the rapporteur. The Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Committee will have Muayyad Alawneh as chair and Khaled Bani Atieh as his deputy, while Mohammad Jarrah will serve as the rapporteur.

Raed Rubaie will lead the Public Freedoms and Human Rights Committee, with Ahmed Alimat as deputy and Shaher Shatnawi as the rapporteur. The Women and Family Affairs Committee will be chaired by Faleha Khudair, with Mai Harahsheh as the rapporteur.

The Rural and Bedouin Affairs Committee is to be chaired by Bakr Hayseh, with Mai Ziyadneh as his deputy and Ferial Bani Salman as the rapporteur. Lastly, the Palestine Committee will have Suleiman Saud as the chair and Othman Makhadmeh as his deputy.
