Amman:The Ministry of Water and Irrigation has uncovered an illegal water line in the Wadi As-Seir area of Amman. This line involved two 4-inch branch lines that were tapped to supply unauthorized water tankers for commercial purposes.
According to Jordan News Agency, the ministry also reported the discovery of two illegal wells on state treasury lands in the Al-Jafr area of the Maan governorate. These wells have since been backfilled.
The ministry has confirmed that all illegal connections have been disconnected. Official violation reports have been filed, and legal proceedings are set to be initiated against those responsible for these unauthorized activities.
