ACI’s Exports Surpass JD3 Billion in First Half of 2025

Amman: Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI)’s exports exceeded the JD3 billion mark during the first half of 2025, reflecting the quality and competitiveness of its products in international markets.

According to Jordan News Agency, ACI’s periodic statistical data reveals a 12.3% surge in exports during this period, attributed to its certificates of origin, compared to the same timeframe in the previous year. The exports rose to JD3.467 billion, up from JD3.086 billion in the first half of 2024.

Seven sub-sectors reported growth in their exports, with increases ranging from 1% in the plastics and rubber industries to a notable 73.4% in construction industries. Conversely, three industrial sectors saw declines, with engineering, electrical, and information technology industries, packaging, paper, cardboard, and office supplies, and wood and furniture experiencing decreases of 1.7%, 7.2%, and 13.6%, respectively.

India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq emerged as the top four destinations, collectively accounting for more than half of the chamber’s exports during the first half of 2025, with a combined value of JD1.988 billion. Exports to India increased by 27%, totaling approximately JD533 million, compared to JD419 million in the previous year. Saudi Arabia saw a 7.4% rise, reaching approximately JD418 million, up from JD388 million in 2024. Iraq also witnessed a growth of 2.6%, with exports totaling approximately JD451 million, compared to JD439 million last year.

However, exports to the United States declined by 7.8%, amounting to approximately JD586 million, down from JD635 million in 2024. Despite this decline, the U.S. remained a leading destination for ACI’s exports among Arab and foreign countries.
