Amman: The Jordanian-Saudi Parliamentary Brotherhood Committee, led by MP Abdul Basit Kabariti, convened on Wednesday to deliberate on the committee’s strategic framework and prospective organizational plans to bolster parliamentary relations between Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
According to Jordan News Agency, Kabariti emphasized the committee’s critical function in fortifying cooperation between the Jordanian Lower House of Parliament and the Saudi Shura Council. He highlighted that parliamentary coordination is a fundamental aspect of the strategic partnership between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, particularly in legislative matters.
Kabariti pointed out the necessity of creating a structured work plan centered on regular communication with their Saudi counterparts, aiming to expand joint initiatives reflecting the historic and deep-rooted ties between the two nations’ leaderships and peoples.
He also underlined the committee’s role as a dynamic communication channel for addressing mutual concerns in regional and international forums.
Committee members reiterated the call for ongoing consultation and coordination with Saudi Arabia. They stressed the importance of consolidating relations on solid, enduring foundations.
Additionally, the members highlighted the need to strengthen communication channels with the Saudi Shura Council, explore new initiatives to enhance parliamentary and cultural exchange, and support both countries’ efforts in addressing shared challenges.
