Prime Minister Jafar Hassan Engages with US Congressional Aides on Strategic Ties

Amman: Prime Minister Jafar Hassan met with a delegation of US Congressional aides on Tuesday to discuss the strategic ties and cooperation between Jordan and the United States. The meeting highlighted the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic collaboration and investment opportunities.

According to Jordan News Agency, Prime Minister Hassan shared insights from his recent visit to the United States, describing it as “constructive.” Both nations reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing ties and exploring broader economic cooperation. The discussion also touched upon the current regional situation, underlining the necessity of supporting efforts to maintain security and stability.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister presented Jordan’s future plans, which are part of a comprehensive modernisation agenda. This agenda focuses on political, economic, and administrative reforms, with a particular emphasis on strategic investments in sectors such as water, rail, transport, and infrastructure. These initiatives aim to stimulate economic growth and generate employment opportunities for Jordanians.

The discussion was also attended by Muhannad Shehadeh, Minister of State for Economic Affairs, who contributed to outlining the Kingdom’s strategic objectives and projects.
