Clinical examinations were conducted for over 250 students to facilitate the early detection of tooth decay and gum-related issues. Additionally, free medical samples and informative brochures were distributed to students with the collaboration of specialized media companies.
Professor Ziad Al-Dwairi, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, emphasized that this event aligns with World Oral Health Day and is part of the university’s mission to enhance health awareness in the community, particularly among primary school students. He noted that such awareness has a positive effect on public health and quality of life.
Professor Al-Dwairi further mentioned that awareness programs should encompass not only early detection but also include specialized care, precise diagnosis, and routine follow-ups. He stressed the significance of educating about proper diet and involving parents in these programs to ensure their sustainability and effectiveness in achieving health objectives.
