Amman: Minister of Transport, Wissam Tahtamouni, engaged in discussions with the Yemeni Ambassador to Jordan, Jalal Faqira, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation within the transport sector to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
According to Jordan News Agency, Tahtamouni emphasized the longstanding and brotherly relations between Jordan and Yemen, highlighting the critical importance of enhancing cooperation in the transport sector. He pointed out the sector’s role in supporting trade exchange and facilitating the movement of individuals and goods. Tahtamouni noted that the Jordanian-Yemeni relationship has been built over many years of joint cooperation, and the ministry aims to advance this partnership to address contemporary challenges and changes, ultimately supporting efforts to improve transport services and fortify economic ties.
In response, the Yemeni Ambassador praised the bilateral relations and expressed appreciation for Jordan’s support in various areas. He underscored Yemen’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in the transport field and expressed interest in leveraging Jordan’s expertise to benefit Yemen’s transport sector development.
