Amman: The meeting between Syria and its neighbouring countries, hosted by Jordan, began Sunday at the King Hussein Club in Amman. The gathering aims to explore practical mechanisms for enhanced cooperation in combating terrorism, drug and arms smuggling, and addressing other shared regional challenges.
According to Jordan News Agency, foreign and defence ministers, chiefs of staff and intelligence agency directors from Jordan, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon are attending the meeting. Discussions will focus on supporting the Syrian people in rebuilding the country on a foundation that ensures its unity, sovereignty, security, and stability.
Key topics include eliminating terrorism, creating conditions for the voluntary return of refugees, and safeguarding the rights of all citizens.
