Ajloun: The Ajloun Green Association for Environmental Development, in collaboration with the agriculture and environment directorates, the Joint Services Council, and the Jordan Environment Society, organized a volunteer day focused on tree planting and environmental cleanup.
According to Jordan News Agency, Riham Momani, head of the Junaid Agricultural Center, emphasized that such initiatives raise awareness about the importance of green economy development and contribute to preserving the environment by increasing afforestation.
Association president Ebtihal Smadi highlighted that the initiative supported sustainable development efforts by planting 100 carob and eucalyptus trees around the Excellence School.
Sawsan Enaizat, head of the Environmental Awareness Department at the Directorate of Environment Protection, stated that the campaign aligns with the national afforestation project, which aims to plant 10 million trees by 2030.
Ali Freihat, chairman of the Jordan Environment Society, reaffirmed the society’s commitment to participating in campaigns that enhance environmental protection and expand green spaces.
