3 tourist businesses shut down, 53 fined for breaching preventive measures

The inspection teams of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with other relevant authorities, have shut down three tourist facilities and fined 53 others in July for not complying with public safety requirements.

A statement by the ministry on Sunday said that the inspection teams conducted some 1,452 visits to various tourist businesses, including hotels and restaurants across the Kingdom.

The ministry indicated that 1,085 tourist businesses have adhered to public safety and health protection standards, noting that 107 others have been notified.

The ministry also reiterated its call to tourist establishments to abide by the instructions issued by defense orders, which stipulate maintaining physical distancing, wearing masks, and providing hookah service in the outer squares.
