Zionist enemy continues to commit massacres against civilians on 111th day of its barbaric aggression against Gaza

Zionist enemy continues its hysterical bombing of various areas in Gaza Strip, and continues to commit more bloody massacres that claimed the lives of dozens of martyrs, most of whom were children and women, on the 111th day of the barbaric Zionist-American aggression against the Strip, in a shameful silence and in full view of the world.

In this context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced that the Zionist enemy forces committed a new ‘massacre’ against thousands of hungry mouths who were waiting to receive aid near the Kuwait Roundabout intersection south of Gaza City, killing at least 20 Palestinian citizens and injuring 150.

Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a brief statement today: ‘The Zionist enemy is committing a new massacre against thousands of hungry mouths who were waiting for humanitarian aid at the Kuwait roundabout in Gaza.’

He explained that “this massacre resulted in the death of 20 Palestinians and the injury of 150 others.”

He pointed out that the number
of victims “is likely to increase as a result of dozens of serious injuries that arrived at Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, which lacks medical capabilities.”

This is not the first time that the Zionist enemy army has targeted gatherings of Palestinian citizens waiting for scarce humanitarian and relief aid that rarely reaches Gaza Governorate and the northern Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses confirm that the enemy army targeted citizens who were waiting to receive aid with artillery shells and shooting from drones towards them, noting that ‘the expected aid has not yet arrived in Gaza province.’

On January 2, the UN agency UNRWA announced that aid had been brought into Gaza and northern provinces in the Strip since December 27, for the first time after the end of the humanitarian truce one week on the first of the same month.

UNRWA spokesman Adnan Abu Hasna said in a statement to Anadolu Agency at the time: ‘The average number of trucks entering daily for about a week is estimated at about five to seven trucks, l
oaded with food supplies.’

He stressed that this aid ‘does not meet any of the needs of the residents of Gaza and the northern governorates,’ pointing out that ‘tens of thousands of them are starving.’

More than once, UNRWA says that its buses carrying aid are ‘under fire’ from the Zionist side.

Since October 7, the Zionist enemy forces have closed the crossings between the Gaza Strip and the outside world, while Rafah land crossing with Egypt was partially opened for the entry of limited aid , the exit of dozens of sick , injured people and a number of foreign passport holders.

On November 24, 2023, the Zionist enemy forces allowed the entry of scarce amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip through Rafah crossing, as part of a week-long truce between the resistance in Gaza and the enemy, which was reached through Qatari-Egyptian-American mediation, which included a prisoner exchange deal.

Thursday’s massacre against hungry mouths was widely condemned and denounced. The Islamic Resistance Movement “H
amas” denounced the massacre committed by the Zionist enemy forces against civilians who were waiting to receive aid at Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza City, which resulted in the death of at least 20 and the injury of more than 150. Others.

The movement described the targeting of these civilians as a ‘horrific war crime,’ saying: The repetition of these crimes expresses the Zionist enemy’s disregard for human life and international laws, considering that these laws are violated with an American green light.

The movement called on the United Nations to assume its responsibility by taking firm stances to stop these crimes and hold their perpetrators accountable.

The Palestinian forces, with their various orientations, considered the Zionist enemy’s killing of citizens waiting for aid in Gaza a ‘war crime.’ Calling on the United Nations to hold the Zionist enemy forces accountable for their new crime, which they carried out by targeting a gathering of citizens waiting for relief aid south of Gaza City.

A statemen
t by the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces in Palestine said today: This new massacre is a full-fledged war crime committed by the Nazi enemy forces in continuation of their crimes of ethnic cleansing and ongoing genocide in Gaza Strip.

The follow-up committee held the United Nations , all international and regional parties responsible for the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy in delaying aid, complicating its entry, and depriving the Palestinians of their most basic rights in life.

In turn, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory condemned, in a statement in the strongest terms, the Zionist enemy army killing 20 Palestinians and wounding dozens by opening direct fire on them while they were waiting for humanitarian supplies to enter Gaza City and its north, insisting on the approach of starving civilians and terrorizing them everywhere.

Zionist enemy imposed further complications on the process of entering, distributing, and receiving the already limited humanitarian aid i
n the Gaza Strip.

The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory confirmed in its statement that the enemy forces deliberately targeted dozens of hungry civilians with artillery shells at the ‘Kuwait’ roundabout leading to Gaza City, which resulted in the death of at least 20 of them and the wounding of more than 150 others, the condition of a number of them critical.

In another development, a team of more than 600 lawyers from around the world Thursday submitted evidence to the International Criminal Court as part of a lawsuit they filed against the Zionist enemy on charges of committing crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza Strip.

That came in two separate meetings held by lawyers with the court’s Public Prosecutor’s Office and its Victims Department.

This team, led by French lawyer Gilles Defer, submitted to the International Criminal Court last November a 56-page lawsuit demanding the opening of an investigation into the incidents attributed to the Zionist enemy army in Gaza since October 7th.

The text
of the lawsuit traces the threads of the case from its beginning, starting with the period of the British Mandate and Balfour Declaration, then Nakba of the Palestinians, the various Arab Zionist wars, the Oslo Accords of 1993, the siege imposed on Gaza Strip, and Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, then the ongoing war on the Strip.

The submission of new evidence in the case file comes a day before an expected decision by the International Court of Justice regarding the lawsuit filed by South Africa against the Zionist enemy on charges of committing genocide in Gaza.

The United Nations court said that it will hold a plenary session at the Peace Palace in the Hague, during which the president of the court, Judge Joan Donoghue, will announce the order of the committee consisting of 17 judges.

The court may issue an order to the Zionist enemy forces to stop their war on Gaza within the framework of what are called ‘temporary measures’, in order to protect the Palestinians of Gaza until the essence of the case is decide
d, which may take years.

In addition, Thomas White, Deputy Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, described the ongoing Zionist attacks on civilian sites in Khan Yunis as completely unacceptable and must stop immediately.

White said in a press statement today: ‘People are being killed and injured… and as the fighting intensifies around hospitals and shelter centers hosting displaced people, are being besieged inside them and life-saving operations are being obstructed.’

He explained that the situation in Khan Yunis confirms the continuing failure to respect the basic principles of international humanitarian law: ‘distinction, proportionality and precaution when launching attacks.’ He described the matter as abhorrent and completely unacceptable and must stop immediately.

White called for the necessity of taking all necessary measures to protect civilians, stressing that the protection of hospitals, clinics, medical teams and UN facilities is clearly stipulated in int
ernational law.
