ZATCA Thwarts 3 Attempts to Smuggle 151,139 Captagon Pills at Hadithah Port

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has thwarted three attempts to smuggle 151,139 Captagon pills found hidden in vehicles that arrived in Saudi Arabia through the Hadithah Port.

According to ZATCA, in one attempt, 43,000 Captagon pills were found hidden in one of the vehicles, 45,349 pills inside the air compressor tank of another car, and 62,790 pills in the radiator of a third vehicle.

The authority reiterated that it would continue to tighten customs control over the Kingdom’s imports and exports through all its customs outlets and will confront any smugglers’ attempts, to achieve one of its most important tasks represented in the security and protection of society from these criminal acts.

ZATCA has called on the public to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting the authority’s designated number for security reports 1910, through email: [email protected] or the international number 00966114208417. The authority will receive reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Common Customs Law with utmost confidentiality, granting a financial reward to the informer if the provided information is correct.
