Youth Parliamentary Committee Supports National Military Service for Youth Development

Amman: The Youth and Sports Parliamentary Committee announced its support on Tuesday for the reactivation of the National Military Service Programme, stating that it aligns with the royal vision and demonstrates His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II’s dedication to empowering Jordanian youth through discipline and responsibility.

According to Jordan News Agency, the committee highlighted that the initiative strengthens values such as belonging and teamwork, while encouraging a spirit of sportsmanship among the youth. It expressed full support for the Crown Prince’s initiatives and the government’s efforts to invest in the capabilities of the new generation, which are seen as critical to building Jordan’s future.

The committee further noted its commitment to monitoring various initiatives and programs that benefit the youth and sports sectors. It emphasized that national service will be instrumental in developing a generation that is conscious of their responsibilities, capable of facing challenges, and actively participating in the nation’s development.

The committee stressed that national service is more than just a training program; it is a national institution that fosters loyalty and belonging. It prepares Jordanian youth to be exemplary in their commitment, service, and contribution to the nation, in alignment with the Crown Prince’s vision of youth empowerment.
