Youth Employment Program to Launch in Ramtha

Ramtha:Ramtha Municipality is set to collaborate with the International Labour Organization (ILO) on a new initiative aimed at training and employing local job-seeking youth to align with labor market needs.

According to Jordan News Agency, the program will establish a practical framework to engage directly with local businesses to understand their specific hiring demands. This initiative will include field visits to local employers to survey job openings and required skill sets, after which qualified youth will be nominated, trained, and prepared for these positions.

Jamal Abu Obeid, Head of the Ramtha Municipality Committee, emphasized the importance of sustainable employment. The program's goal is to gradually place up to 100 young men and women into jobs each month by connecting job seekers with employers through the employment platform and the Irbid Employment Office.

The meeting also detailed a collaborative effort between Ramtha Municipality and the Jordan Investors Association, with funding and support from the ILO and the Irbid Employment Office. This initiative is part of Ramtha Municipality's strategy to strengthen partnerships with national, international, and private sector entities to reduce unemployment, enhance youth skills, and stimulate local economic development.
