Yemenia Halts Sana’a-Amman Flights for Operational Reassessment

Amman: Yemen’s national carrier has suspended flights from Sana’a to Amman due to an operational reassessment, Jordan’s Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) said on Tuesday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Captain Haitham Misto, CARC Chief Commissioner, stated that Yemenia, the sole airline operating the Sana’a-Amman route, has paused flights on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The temporary suspension aims to evaluate the operational conditions at Sana’a International Airport.

Misto further mentioned that Aden International Airport is still functioning, and Yemenia plans to transport passengers overland from Sana’a to Aden. From Aden, passengers can then continue their journey to Amman.
