Gaza: The international humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) announced on Wednesday that it has ceased all relief operations in the Gaza Strip due to a lack of food supplies and cooking fuel.
According to Jordan News Agency, WCK stated that it had delivered more than 130 million meals and distributed approximately 26 million loaves of bread over the past 18 months. However, the organization can no longer sustain this critical aid under the current conditions affecting the region.
The organization highlighted that its aid trucks, including those carrying fuel necessary to operate field kitchens, have been stuck at the border since early March. This logistical impasse has contributed significantly to the decision to halt operations, leaving many in need without vital food assistance.
