World Bank Delegation Evaluates Financial Simulation Model at Al-Balqa Applied University

Al-salt: A World Bank delegation reviewed Al-Balqa Applied University's implementation of a Financial Simulation Model for Jordan's public universities, developed under a joint project between the university and the World Bank.

According to Jordan News Agency, University President Ahmad Ajlouni noted in a statement Sunday that financial and strategic planning is central to institutional development, adding that data-driven decision-making and clear performance indicators can improve resource management and help universities respond to future challenges.

He explained that the model allows university administrators to assess the potential impact of different policies and alternatives before making decisions, supporting resource allocation based on academic and institutional priorities.

The World Bank delegation reviewed the university's model, including its data, forecasts, indicators, and dashboards, as well as its capacity to test different future scenarios and assess their potential impact on the university's performance and financial position. The model also tracks indicators related to efficiency, sustainability, and financial risks.

The delegation highlighted the importance of building on the work completed under the project and further integrating the model into the university's planning and decision-making processes.
