Amman: Minister of Transport and Minister of Labor Nidal Qatamin announced that the first package of upgraded electronic systems designed to automate Labor Ministry services is expected to be launched within the next two months. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to modernize the ministry's electronic infrastructure.
According to Jordan News Agency, the rollout is part of a broader project undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. The goal is to expand the automation of services provided by the Labor Ministry. Qatamin highlighted that the first package will specifically address services related to non-Jordanian workers, with additional digital services and system upgrades planned for subsequent phases.
Qatamin emphasized that each phase of the rollout will be announced upon completion. The project includes plans for modernizing and automating services for domestic workers as well. In addition, the ministry aims to increase access to its electronic services through the Sanad application, which is expected to streamline transactions and reduce the time and effort required to access Labor Ministry services.
The minister also assured that cybersecurity and data protection are key components of the upgraded systems. This aligns with the government's initiative to expand digital public services while ensuring the security of users' data.
