VTC Graduates 12,000 Trainees, Surpassing Capacity

Amman: The Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC), Dr. Ahmed Gharaibeh, announced that the VTC graduated over 12,000 vocational trainees last year, marking a significant achievement in creating job opportunities for its alumni. The corporation’s mission focuses on employing graduates regardless of age or academic background.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Gharaibeh highlighted that the year 2024 was a notable period in VTC’s history, with the number of graduates surpassing the institution’s capacity, which stands at 8,000 trainees. The VTC has been accommodating more trainees by offering some specializations in double shifts across 17 institutes.

Dr. Gharaibeh revealed that currently, 9,500 individuals are enrolled in vocational training programs, with an additional 1,500 participating in vocational education activities. The VTC has expanded its reach, now operating 30 institutes across various governorates in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, 62% of VTC graduates have secured employment and are registered with social security, with 53% working in their fields of specialization and 9% in other sectors. Additionally, 19% of graduates are engaged in the informal economy, resulting in approximately 80% of VTC graduates having a source of income.

Dr. Gharaibeh emphasized that the VTC aligns with the strategic axis of the Economic Modernization Vision, which outlines six priorities for the vocational and technical training and education sector.
