Vocational Training Corporation Earns ISO 9001 Certification

Amman: The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) has acquired the ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system, covering its headquarters and several institutes across the Kingdom.

According to Jordan News Agency, the certification applies to the Jordan Academy for Tourism and Hospitality, Madaba Institute for Culinary Arts, the central region administration building, Princess Taghreed Institute, Tafileh Female Institute in the southern region, and Ajloun Vocational Training Institute in the northern region, the corporation said in a statement Monday.

It said the achievement was backed by the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) and implemented in cooperation with Bureau Veritas (BIVAC) for assessment in Jordan. The partnership helped enhance the corporation's readiness to meet international standards and adopt best practices in quality management systems.

The certification followed a series of technical and organizational steps, including gap analysis, specialized training programs, and the qualification of 14 staff members as internal auditors to ensure sustainable compliance and self-auditing capacity. The process concluded with closing identified gaps and completing a two-phase final audit in line with international standards.

VTC Director General Raafat Sawafin commended staff efforts in securing the certification, highlighting the institution's advanced expertise and capacity in quality assurance and institutional development. BIVAC Jordan Chief Executive Ahmad Khawaja called the certification a significant joint achievement, driven by a shared commitment to strengthening strategic planning and sustaining progress.

WUSC Jordan representative Abir Al-Majri said the milestone would open broader prospects for future cooperation, supporting the development of vocational training programs.
