UNICEF Closes 21 Malnutrition Treatment Centers in Gaza Amid Israeli Aggression

Gaza: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Sunday the closure of approximately 21 malnutrition treatment centers in Gaza due to the resumption of Israeli aggression and evacuation orders in the areas where the centers operate.

According to Jordan News Agency, UNICEF spokesperson Kazem Abu Khalaf stated in press remarks that the organization is awaiting a report from the Food Security Classification Authority in Gaza to present the findings. He pointed out that Israel continues to block access to Gaza’s crossings, preventing the entry of aid, medical supplies, nutritional supplements, and other essentials for 35 days.

UNICEF also stated yesterday that more than one million children in Gaza have been deprived of life-saving assistance for over a month, emphasizing that thousands of aid packages are waiting to enter the territory.

Furthermore, the supplemental food for infants in Gaza has run out, with only enough ready-to-use milk remaining to feed 400 children for one month.
