UN Report: Gazans Displaced Amid Security, Health Risks

Gaza: Conditions in Gaza remained extremely dire with most of the people displaced and facing health and environmental risks, as well as continued Israeli attacks on residential areas, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned on Monday. Only one in two trucks transporting aid from Egypt to Gaza managed to unload its cargo at the Israeli-controlled crossings on the Gaza border during the first 10 days of May, it said in its daily report.

According to Jordan News Agency, World Health Organization estimates indicate that more than 43,000 people in Gaza have suffered life-altering injuries, while rehabilitation services remained overwhelmed. In the West Bank, 45 Palestinian-owned buildings were demolished by Israeli forces between May 5 and 11, the office said, pointing to a sharp increase in settler violence, with a monthly average of incidents resulting in casualties or property damage rising 14-fold since 2020.
