Amman: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Saturday named Ramiz Akbarov of Azerbaijan as Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Humanitarian Coordinator in the region. Akbarov replaces Muhannad Hadi of Jordan to whom the UN Chief expressed his appreciation for his efforts and dedication during his tenure.
