Some 1,980 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the UK Monday, a slight increase from Sunday’s 1,926, according to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
Five people succumbed to the highly contagious respiratory disease compared with 4 yesterday, the DHSC added.
It highlighted that the caseload stands at around 4.52 million and the death toll at 127,684.
