Trump Denies Knowledge of Girls in Epstein Emails

Washington: US President Donald Trump stated he has no knowledge regarding ‘the girls’ mentioned by Jeffrey Epstein in emails recently released by Congress.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump addressed reporters on Air Force One, emphasizing his lack of awareness about the allegations. An audio recording shared by the White House captures Trump saying, “I know nothing about that. They would have announced that a long time ago.”

The emails in question include Epstein’s claim that Trump was aware of the girls, a statement seemingly linked to Trump’s earlier comments about ejecting Epstein from Mar-a-Lago after accusations that Epstein attempted to lure young women from his Palm Beach club. Trump had previously accused Epstein of ‘stealing’ women from Mar-a-Lago and labeled him a ‘creep.’

The President also urged the Justice Department to investigate high-profile Democrats for their associations with Epstein. Trump highlighted figures such as Bill Clinton and former Harvard President Larry Summers, questioning Epstein’s extensive interactions with influential individuals.

Trump elaborated on his strained relationship with Epstein, noting, “Jeffrey Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years. But he also saw strength, because I was president, so he dictated a couple of memos to himself.” He further suggested that investigations should uncover Epstein’s knowledge concerning prominent figures, including connections with JP Morgan Chase.
