Transport ministry denies charging fees on incoming parcels

Jordan’s Ministry of Transport dismissed email messages, alleging collection of a J1D for every inbound parcel to the Kingdom.

In a press statement on Thursday, the ministry stressed the need to shun these “suspicious and misleading” messages that may contain malicious software that causes damage to data.

The ministry does not process any postal parcels, nor collects any fees in any way, according to the statement.

The ministry also has the right to sue scammers for using the official logo of the Ministry of Transport to issue these spoofed messages, the statement added.
