Transport minister, Spanish envoy talk cooperation

Minister of Transport Wajih Azayza on Thursday discussed with Spanish Ambassador in Amman Aranzazu Banon Davalos means of enhancing joint cooperation between Jordan and Spain in the field of transport.

During a meeting at the ministry, the two officials stressed the need to further cooperation between the two countries, especially in exchanging expertise on transport, most notably in rail transport, in which Spain holds a long experience.

The two officials agreed on the need to increase meetings and exchange expertise to serve citizens and improve the transport sector overall.

Azayza stressed Jordanian-Spanish relations in all fields, particularly in transport, pointing out that the two countries are bound by agreements in the fields of sea and air transport.

For her part, the envoy underscored her country’s commitment to supporting Jordan in various fields, namely transport to enhance freight and passenger movement between the two countries, and to continue cooperation and coordination with the Kingdom at various levels, achieving the interests of their peoples.
