Amman: President of the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions (GFJTU), Khaled Fanatseh, met with Sven Schwersensky, Director of the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), to explore potential collaboration and coordination in line with the Federation’s strategic goals.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Foundation’s headquarters and centered on enhancing joint initiatives, particularly in worker education and training. Fanatseh acknowledged the Foundation’s support for the Federation’s capacity-building efforts, emphasizing the creation of the first GFJTU-specific training manual developed with full backing from the Foundation.
Schwersensky expressed appreciation for the Federation’s visit, noting it as the first by a GFJTU president in several years. He reiterated the Foundation’s dedication to technical cooperation aimed at fostering transparency, social justice, and decent work conditions for Jordanian workers.
